Sacred Bones is an exciting new ancient music ensemble

Formed at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2017, and winners of the Brian Nisbet Early Music Competition 2018, Sacred Bones is a flexible chamber music group whose performances encompass everything from improvised elaborations of Hildegard monodies to large-scale masterpieces by Schütz and Monteverdi. Comprising two countertenors, a cornett, and six sackbuts, performances can range from intimate four-part chamber music to epic eight- and nine-part works.
